7,000+ Financial Professionals at ICC Sydney
The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Global Conference 2019 was held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney from 30 August to 4 September 2019, bringing together more than 7,000 leading insurance and financial services professionals from around the world. The conference provided delegates with the opportunity to reach new heights of success in the insurance industry by learning from some of the world's best minds.
As one of the largest professional conferences hosted in Australia in recent years, the event featured plenary keynotes, breakout sessions, workshops, and networking events across multiple venues. With delegates attending from across Asia and beyond, comprehensive simultaneous interpretation was essential to ensure full engagement across the entire programme.

Meeting the Demands of a High-Intensity Multi-Room Programme
Managing Complex Interpretation Across a Large Venue
The size and scale of the MDRT Global Conference, with over 15 rooms in simultaneous use, made coordination of audio distribution and interpretation particularly challenging. To address this, Congress Australia deployed RF transmitters throughout the ICC to guarantee consistent signal coverage for thousands of delegates. Infrared systems were used for adjacent meeting spaces, providing flexible interpretation delivery depending on room size and audience needs. Technicians monitored all feeds in real time to ensure reliable performance across all interpretation channels.
Integrating High-Density Audio & Interpreter Support
Setting up interpretation for the First State Super Theatre, which hosted the largest plenary sessions, required a technically robust multichannel audio solution. Congress Australia deployed six two-person booths and two three-person booths in a remote operations room, patching vision and audio feeds to support interpreters onsite. To simplify cabling and maintain audio quality, Dante networking was used to carry multiple audio channels over the venue’s IP network.
Clear Communication for a Global Policy Community
Congress Australia's interpretation solution ensured delegates at ICANN64 could fully participate in discussions, workshops, and breakout sessions in their preferred language. The international technical expertise, combined with local execution capacity, delivered a professional, high-quality interpretation setup across the event’s multiple rooms and days.
