Connecting Global Leaders Across Three Critical Spaces
The Retreat – Queensland Parliament House
Held on the morning of Saturday, 15th November, the Leaders’ Retreat took place at the heritage-listed Queensland Parliament House, requiring a discreet, cable-free installation. The setup included 20 wireless conference microphones and four dome cameras, which were mounted and suspended from the gallery above to maintain a clean visual environment.
Fifteen remote interpretation booths were connected via fibre links between rooms, while digital infrared radiators installed in the gallery ensured full coverage without visible cabling. This approach preserved the integrity of the historic space while delivering reliable multilingual communication.

The Dinner – Queensland Art Gallery
The Leaders’ Dinner, held on the evening of Saturday, 15th November, required rapid deployment under tight time constraints. Installation began at 6pm on Thursday, 13th November, with the entire system required to be fully operational, tested, and verified within just 18 hours.
The setup featured 34 wireless conference microphones and infrared receivers, providing a clean and unobtrusive environment for delegates. Fifteen interpretation booths were installed in an adjacent gallery to enable remote interpretation, while a separate third gallery was configured as a dedicated viewing and listening room for senior delegates.
The Lunch – Sky Room
The Sky Room lunch meeting followed a tightly scheduled transition from the plenary session, requiring rapid system reconfiguration. Audio and video feeds to and from the interpreter booths were reassigned within a short changeover window to ensure continuity.
The room was equipped with 34 wireless conference microphones, four Bosch HD dome cameras, and infrared radiators integrated into the ceiling. This configuration maintained a clean, cable-free environment while supporting uninterrupted multilingual communication.

Additional Meetings and System Integration
Beyond the Leaders’ sessions, Congress Australia supported additional meetings, including the Finance Ministers Meeting and broader G20 discussions. These rooms were equipped with 34 wired microphones, three dome cameras, and full language support via the remote interpreter booths.
All interpretation booths were centrally located off-site, with interpreters provided both head-and-shoulders views of active speakers and a full room overview. Four dome cameras enabled dedicated coverage of the chairperson, while the remaining cameras automatically switched to active delegates. Integrated queuing software enabled the chair to manage speaking requests efficiently, ensuring smooth, structured discussions across all sessions.
With thousands of delegates, multiple venues, and complex interpretation requirements, reliability was critical. Congress Australia provided a fully integrated solution that worked without fault and supported the success of the entire summit.
