Supporting a Multilingual Corporate Event in Sydney
NuSkin hosted its Star Creator Trip conference at Sydney Town Hall, welcoming more than 1,000 delegates from across the Asia-Pacific region. Participants travelled from countries including China, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia, requiring real-time interpretation to ensure all attendees could follow the presentations.
Congress Australia was engaged to deliver a remote simultaneous interpretation solution, enabling interpreters located in different countries to provide live translation of the event without being physically present at the venue. This approach allowed the organisers to support multiple languages while reducing travel requirements for interpreters.

Remote Interpretation Technology for Large Conferences
Congress Australia deployed its remote interpretation platform, allowing interpreters to listen to the live event feed and provide simultaneous translation directly from their laptops. Interpreters watched the event through a live video stream while delivering interpreted audio in real time. Delegates at the venue received the translated audio through FM receivers distributed throughout the room.
Technology deployed included:
Remote simultaneous interpretation platform
FM transmission system for language channels
1,000 FM receivers for delegates
HD camera providing live video feed to interpreters
Seven laptops for language streaming, monitoring and moderation
Remote interpreter workstations with headset microphones
Each language channel was transmitted on a dedicated FM frequency so delegates could select their preferred language during the session.
Key Challenges and Solutions
Coordinating Interpreters Across Multiple Countries
Interpreters were located in different countries across the Asia-Pacific region and relied on their local internet connections and equipment to deliver interpretation. Ensuring stable connectivity and consistent audio quality was essential to the event's success. To resolve, Congress technicians worked closely with each interpreter in the weeks leading up to the event, providing training on the remote interpretation platform and testing their microphones, computers and internet connections. This preparation ensured that interpreters were confident using the system and that their equipment met the required standards.
Delivering Reliable Interpretation for a Live Event
Due to the interpretation being delivered remotely, technicians needed to ensure the language channels were transmitted clearly to delegates in the venue. Congress installed and tested the complete interpretation system the day before the conference, including live video streaming for interpreters and FM transmission for each language channel. Technicians monitored the audio feeds throughout the event, adjusting levels and ensuring there were no dropouts in the interpretation audio.
Enabling Multilingual Engagement for NuSkin Delegates
The NuSkin Star Creator Trip conference was successfully delivered with seamless multilingual communication for more than 1,000 delegates. Interpreters provided real-time translation from remote locations, while the Congress technical team monitored all on-site channels. The event demonstrated how remote interpretation technology can effectively support large corporate events with international audiences.
